Tutorials on Editing Variant Tax fields (BPE)

1. Set up the product filter

Before anything, make sure that you are in the correct section of the app. Click the the "Tax" and you can now proceed with the adding/removing. The first step to setting up a bulk edit is to set up the filters. Our app has many fields that you can filter from, which can help you narrow down the products that you would like our app to edit. Our app also comes with a preview function, so that you can verify if the products found are correct.

2. Updating Taxable

Since the "update tax code" is only available for the stores that have the Avalara AvaTax app installed, we will be going to edit the "update taxable" for this tutorial.

For example, if I want my Shirts collection to be taxable, I will be choosing my "Shirts" collection on step 1 then choose "all variants" so that all variants will be edited, and choose update taxable "false". Once I have finished setting this up, I will be clicking the "start bulk edit now"

After this, you can check the results. Please do note that if your product is already not taxable, the app will be skipping those products since it already matches the criteria. This is also true if you want some products to be taxable.

You can also follow the guide below if you want an in-depth guide regarding this.
