Tutorial on Editing Product Tag •
This function will allow you to edit your product tags, by either adding text to the title, or finding text to remove/replace. You can edit the product title with the following steps:
Select the Bulk edit that you want to run.
The first step is to go to "Bulk Edit" in the app then selecting "Tags"


Set up the product filter
The second step to setting up a bulk edit is to set up the filters. Our app has many fields that you can filter from, which can help you narrow down the products that you would like our app to edit. Our app also comes with a preview function, so that you can verify if the products found are correct.

Select the method of editing
You can choose the function you want to use to edit your product description with, and set up the function as needed. Our app has the following options:

For your reference, there's a short description on what these options does.
Add a tag
Adds a specific tag to all selected products without removing existing tags.
Remove a tag
Removes only the tag you specify from the selected products.
Remove tags if tag contains “X”
Deletes any tag that contains the text you enter (partial match).
Replace a tag
Finds an exact tag and replaces it with a new one.
Replace text “X” with “Y” in tags
Edits part of existing tags by replacing one word or phrase with another.
Clear all tags
Removes all tags from the selected products.
Update tag based on product type
Automatically creates or updates tags based on each product’s type field.
Update tag based on vendor
Generates tags using the product’s vendor or brand name.
Update tag based on option values
Creates tags from option values such as size, color, or material.
Update tag based on price range
Adds tags depending on which price range the product falls into.
Update tag based on SKU
Uses SKU values to generate or update tags.
Add a tag which is generated by template
Creates tags using a custom template you define (e.g., type-[product_type] ).
Change tag capitalization
Changes the case of existing tags (e.g., lowercase, UPPERCASE, or Title Case).
Below is an example demonstrating how to use Bulk Product Edit to add a product tag.
Adding a “New Arrival” Tag Using Bulk Product Edit
This example shows how to add the tag “New Arrival” to recently created products.
Step 1: Select What Products to Edit
Define your filter conditions.
For example:
- Product created time → within → 24 hours
This will target products added within the last 24 hours.

Click Preview matching products to confirm the correct items are selected. You may add additional filter conditions if needed.
Step 2: Preview Matching Products
Carefully review the results.

If the preview does not match your expectation, adjust the filters before proceeding.
Step 3: Choose How to Edit Matching Products
- Open the dropdown menu.
- Select Add a tag.
- In the tag field, enter: New Arrival

Kindly take note of the task instructions below.
- Use this option if you'd like to add a new tag for the matching products
- For example, if you want to add "medium" as a new tag for matching products, type "medium" into the input box.
- Products already tagged with "medium" will not be affected.
- You can add multiple tags in one task. In order to do that, please separate tags by comma.
After setting it up properly, click the Start Bulk Edit Now Button.
When the task completes, you can verify the changes by accessing the task details,


As you can see, the newly added products have been updated by the task. Kindly verify it as well on your Shopify Admin by locating the Tags section and confirming that New Arrival tag has been added.
