Why is my task queued? (BPE)

When a bulk editing task is created, it will be put into a task queue. A queued task will normally start running within a couple of minutes.

There are two main reasons why a task would be queued longer than normal. The first reason is that another task is running on your store. BPE can only run one task at any given time, so any tasks created while another is already running will be queued and processed one at a time based on their creation time.

The second reason a task would be queued for longer than normal is that our servers are at capacity. This can happen during high volume hours, when many merchants are running tasks on their stores. In this case, the task may be queued until some space opens up on our servers, for your task to be executed.
